About the Cause
The Christian Life Ranch serves men and their families with effective Faith-Based Recovery and Discipleship programs, teaching and training designed to foster restoration and healing, and help them become productive contributing members of society. This is a place where new life is cultivated by identifying and confronting destructive core beliefs and applying grace to produce transformation. Many of the students have attempted to fix themselves by trying harder. The thoughts, perceptions and lies a person adopts into their identity in order to excuse or attempt to forget painful memories are replaced with truth through this process. This exemplifies the truth of Christ’s existence and unconditional love for them.
The process of spiritual formation of our program parallels the initiative created by our made-to-order custom Cross Shop. The materials utilized at the beginning of the process bear a striking resemblance to that of the men that we are called to help through our ministry. Like them, and all of us at times in life, the materials are blemished, uncultured and can feel seemingly useless. Some of the materials have been through several attempts at repair in order to restore them to their original state and display their value.
Making the hand-made crosses has a positive meaningful impact on the students, as well as the individuals and families that purchase them. For the students, it is evidence of their hard work coming to fruition, and a picture of how something rough and broken can become something useful and beautiful. For the person receiving the cross, it is a reminder of the investment they have made into changing lives. For everyone that sees the cross in your home, it serves as a reminder of the spiritual partnership and atonement that Christ made for our souls.
Our mission is synonymous with our initiative; to give hope to the hopeless and forgotten, and purposefully love others back to life.
